No doubt, sanctifications from almighty Allah are innumerable but when it originates to human, he remains thankless ever forever. List of benedictions from almighty are uncountable and unwritable. However, this article will endeavour to focus most powerful blessing i.e., ‘health’. Word health refers to a state of complete emotional and physical well-being. For most of us, being healthy means being physically fit, but real definition of health is far beyond just being physically fit. It also means our mental, social as well as spiritual well-being. Our life is not just being alive but being well! Every soul in this hustle and bustle of life is under spell of pockets full of money, but they have forgotten real peace of life i.e., health, which is key need through which they are capable of earning.

When a person loses his mental strength, he loses everything. If there is a desire to live, to be successful, to be ambitious, then no matter how physically weak a person is, a strong mind will definitely lengthen its life, fulfils his ambitions and skyrocket his success. Some diseases are results of mental patterns which form our experiences. We all have many thought processes that produce good, positive experiences which we nurture and enjoy. It is that one negative thought pattern that produces uncomfortable, unrewarding experiences with which we are concerned. Therefore, by changing our thinking patterns, we can change our experiences.

“Health is Wealth”-it is one of most popular proverbs since decades. It is pertinent to understand that health does not only refer to physical state but of mind. It is true that a healthy mind keeps a healthy body, but it is not necessary that a healthy body always keeps your mind healthy. Obviously, a person who has good physical health is likely to have bodily functions and processes working at their peak.

Allah has created man with an authoritative mind which controls whole-body parts. Mind itself is very significant portion, which does not only regulate complete body but also controls emotions of a human. This single fist size structure has too much hegemony to influence entire rough and tough body, moreover, this also distinguishes man and animal. Allah has created a supremacy of humans among His entire creation, this because of power of human mind. Mind has ability to choose right and wrong, good and bad.

This is pretty amazingly witnessed that strong minds and determination, make men big, worthy and successful despite their handicap. Several stances like Stephen William Hawking who was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author who, at time of his death was director of research at Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at University of Cambridge with no power to speak, being completely paralysed. One more example is our Father of Nation, ‘Quaid e Azam’, who led Pakistan’s freedom struggle throughout his painful disease and in old age. Helen Keller is another classic example, deaf, dumb and blind, her mental soundness helped her achieve great heights and there are enormous number of examples who proved to be mentally fit and achieved this world with courage, ardor and dedication.

Although, there is definitely worth benefited to have a healthy body as well, however, things will be worst if a physically fit person let himself down and commit suicide. Thousands of examples exist in biosphere for this dangerous practice. In fact, without a shadow of a doubt, persons with physically vigorous condition majorly commit suicides, being mentally ailed. A strong mind can never let a person to take his precious life and to put himself to death. Dissatisfaction and malice in a person’s mind get reflected on his face whereas positive thoughts of a healthy mind bring on a glow to person’s appearance. Since mind and body are so closely intertwined, both keep affecting each other and unless controlled can set off a cycle of reactions. For example, an unfit person is prone to depression and this often results in low self-esteem.

Remember that, in order to remain fit, one should be mentally strong. Despite of being physically active, one cannot achieve goals in his life if he is mentally upset or despair. Good and sound health would ensure an agile and active mind. Just as a person’s mood and emotions are reflected in a person’s health, a body that is weak and unfit plays havoc on a person’s mental well-being. Recent studies have shown that increasing stress of today’s fast paced life is giving rise to a number of health problems. Major among those are heart and neurological problems. A good health helps a person to keep a positive attitude towards work and life in general.

A harmonious growth in development of mental dimension leads us to development of real personality. Once we succeed in doing that, there will be tremendous qualitative change in our lives. A great number of such will certainly form a better society and they will raise this nation once again in its highest glory. To maintain a good mental health, one should include mental dexterity exercises into his daily routine which can help to reap benefits of a sharper mind and a healthier body for years to come.
