ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of petition filed against forced COVID-19 vaccination.
The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah yesterday.
The petitioner lawyer Shahina Shahab ud Din appeared in the court during the hearing of the case.
The court inquired “have you got vaccinated.
The lady lawyer replied no she had not got herself vaccinated. The court remarked then how can she come here. It is decision of bar and bench that no unvaccinated person will come in the court.
The court inquired from Deputy Attorney General (DAG) when she has not been vaccinated she cannot come to court.
DAG Syed Tayyab Shah replied yes she can now appear before the court through video link.
The court directed the lady lawyer to get herself vaccinated.
The woman lawyer said she is not against the vaccination but she is against the forced vaccination.
The CJ IHC remarked the scientists of the whole world are seeing this. How can you travel without being vaccinated?
220 million people have their rights. We cannot affect others due to you. Donald Trump was too against the vaccination. You are extending cooperation in the process of spreading the virus by not getting yourself vaccinated. Whosoever is not getting oneself vaccinated is follower of Donald Trump.
The CJ IHC remarked you have not got vaccinated yourself and you have lowered the mask too. You have not got yourself vaccinated; you should also isolate yourself to save others.
The court reserved judgment on the maintainability of the petition after hearing the arguments of the counsel.
