Taha Saleem distributes cheques over Rs.5.2mln to retired employees ANOTHER ROUND OF DUES CLEARANCE IN DISTRICT CENTRAL

Karachi Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem has given priority to problems of local government employees as well as local government employees while formulating a coherent strategy for payment of arrears of retired employees. Retired employees are paid dues for years. around 50 retired employees are being regularly paid dues from Rs 5 million to Rs 10 million every month. A simple ceremony was held to present cheques among retired employees and their heirs. At the ceremony, Taha Saleem presented cheques amounting to about Rs 5.2 million to 54 retired employees. Central Municipality Commissioner Zahid Hussain, Senior Finance Officer Habib Rajput and Director Design Central Municipality Hass Abbas were also present. Paying the dues of the employees is one of the priorities. So far in a short span of 3 months, an amount of about Rs 20 million has been paid. The dues of the employees are being paid gradually and in this regard a list of retired employees has been compiled under which the arrears will be paid to the first retired employees on a monthly basis phase-wise.
