PSP top leadership decides to rejoin MQM-P

Karachi: Top leaders of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) including Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Anees Advocate, Waseem Aftab, Taha Ahmed and others who were dissidents of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan(MQM-P) have decided to leave PSP and rejoin MQM-P. According reports these leaders will come to MQM-P Headquarters Bahadurabad and formally announce to join their mother party. Dr Sagheer Ahmed has also confirmed his joining MQM-P. It is being seen an important development for Karachi politics. It is good news for MQM-P and a bid dent to PSP. Earlier, MQM-P opted to abandon ruling PTI and join joint opposition in opposing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s no-confidence vote.

With MQM-P’s unexpected attack on Imran Khan before no-confidence motion, government is now supported by only 164 members of Parliament. Meanwhile, unified opposition has grown to 177 members.
