‘Ziauddin University’s Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery welcomes Batch-2023 students’

Karachi: Ziauddin University (ZU) Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery welcomes 150 new students of Batch 2023 in their commencement day with great enthusiasm and pride, marked beginning of new academic year. Class of 2023 is made up of 150 BSN, 30 Post-RN, 20 MSN and 4 Ph.D students.

Dr. Nida Hussain Pro-Chancellor of Ziauddin University expressed her pride in inaugural class of Ph.D students at University’s Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. She said, “We are really proud to have our first intake ever of Ph.D students here with us today. Those starting an undergraduate programme should feel immense pride that now they are part of fully functional nursing faculty which are very few in Pakistan, so I hope you utilise your time wisely and welcome it.” She encouraged students congratulating them on being part of this esteemed programme.

In keynote address Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder said that we are proud to be recognising hard work and dedication of Ziauddin Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. I am honoured to join in celebrating their achievements and wish them all best as they begin next chapter of their careers. Congratulations to entire graduating class of 2023 and thank you for choosing Ziauddin Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery as your educational institution.”

In introductory speech Dr. Pemela Marshall Dean Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery said that we are proud to announce that our faculty is committed to providing students with knowledge and skills they need to succeed in healthcare industry.

“We offer variety of degree programmes approved by HEC Pakistan in nursing and midwifery, including Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Post-Registered Nurse Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post RN BSN), Master of Science in Nursing, Diploma in Nurse Midwifery, Paramedical Technician Courses and Certified Nursing Assistant”.
