Karachi: Ziauddin Intermediate College proudly hosted the grand finale of its esteemed Spelling Bee competition, featuring 48 teams and a total of 144 participants.

The highly competitive event witnessed Happy Home School - O’ Levels Campus securing the first position, closely followed by The Intellect School in second place and The Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School in the third.

In tandem with the linguistic spectacle, the Art Exhibition on the theme "Illuminating Sindh in 2050: A Vision from My Perspective" showcased an impressive array of creativity, boasting over 800 entries across different categories, spanning classes 1-5, 6-8, and 9-12. A distinguished jury from the Arts Council Karachi meticulously judged the submissions, selecting the top 10 entries from across the province of Sindh.

The event was graced by the presence of the Consul General of UAE, who bestowed shields upon the deserving winners. Sindh Interim Minister of Education Rana Hussain, Chairman Ziauddin Group of Hospitals and Chancellor Ziauddin University Dr. Asim Hussain, and CEO of Ziauddin Group, Dr. Ammad Hussain, were among the esteemed dignitaries in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General of UAE announced that the captivating art exhibition would extend its reach to the consulate in Karachi for public viewing, further emphasizing the significance of such cultural endeavors. UAE Consul General also said that Pakistan is a country which is rich with multifaceted and talented people who acquire brilliant skills set to accomplish all the goals and the objectives as desired. Chairman Dr Ziauddin Group, Dr Asim Hussain while talking to the media persons praised the efforts of the entire Faculty and the Management of Ziauddin School and College. While talking to this scribe, Dr Asim said that imparting quality education with the contemporary methods of teaching plays a vital role in self-grooming and career development of the students in the long-run.

Dr Asim also thanked the UAE Consul General for showing his presence at the event and motivating the students on their diversified work.

Interim Education Minister Rana Hussain emphasized on producing the superior quality of education and vowed to play an effective role in further strengthening the entire system of education across the Sindh province. Commending the visionary efforts of Mr. Arsalan Iqbal, the Principal of Ziauddin Intermediate College, the event garnered praise from all quarters, including the dignitaries present.

Adding another feather to its cap, the UAE envoy, inaugurated the day care center during the latter part of the program. The concerted efforts of the Principal, Ms. Humera, in this endeavor were acknowledged and celebrated. Distinguished guests, including the Consul General of UAE, actively participated in a tour of the school's classrooms, expressing admiration for the vibrant ambiance.

The successful culmination of the Spelling Bee competition, coupled with the insightful Art Exhibition and the inauguration of the day care center, underscores Ziauddin Intermediate College's commitment to excellence in education and holistic development.
