LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif told his party leaders that former President Asif Zardari has demanded Prime Minister’s slot for Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and major ministerial portfolios, sources reported.

In major development, PPP has agreed to make coalition government with PML-N.

PML-P president discussed various options for government formation in meeting. It was discussed in party that though PML-N had emerged as largest political party in country yet it can’t form government on its own and needs help of other political parties or independent candidates.

Party sources added that so far making coalition with Zardari was first option PML-N was exploring but didn’t want to give away slot of Prime Minister.

Sources claimed meeting decided that in case negotiations with PPP failed, PML-N would make coalition government with MQM, JUI-F and other smaller parties, including independents and electables.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari held an important meeting at Lahore Airport to address prevailing political situation. Meeting, which lasted for an hour, saw Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari engaging in discussions before departing for Bilawal House from airport.

Key topics discussed during meeting included matters related to government formation, with both leaders agreeing to consult with other party members for further insights and perspectives.
