Former president and Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, stated that the removal of the PTI chief from the PM House was due to his perceived failure in serving the people.
Zardari emphasized that this action wasn't motivated by a desire to regain power but was a response to the PTI chief's inability to fulfill the expectations of the electorate.
Addressing an event in Ghotki, Asif Ali Zardari conveyed that the PPP is fully prepared to confront any electoral alliance in the upcoming 2024 general elections, underlining that such competition is a fundamental aspect of democracy and can yield positive outcomes.
Regarding the repatriation of illegal Afghan residents in Pakistan, Zardari expressed the PPP's desire for Afghan individuals and families to return to their homeland. He stressed the importance of considering the well-being of future generations and the financial challenges faced by Islamabad.
Zardari also highlighted the achievements of the previous PPP government in Sindh, citing job creation for the youth and the initiation of various development projects to enhance the province. He mentioned the potential for substantial revenue generation from the sea, estimating it at $5 to 6 billion.
Furthermore, Asif Ali Zardari voiced his disappointment with the current government of Pakistan for what he considered an insufficient advocacy for the people affected by the conflict in Palestine.
