Zardari, Bilawal, party leaders pay tribute to Nusrat Bhutto for her democracy struggle

ISLAMABAD: Former President Asif Ali Zardari and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid glowing tributes to Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her 11th death anniversary.
In message, Asif Ali Zardari said that struggle of Mother of Democracy Begum Nusrat Bhutto for country, people and democracy was unparalleled. He said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto had a history of sacrifices for country, people and democracy. “Begum Nusrat Bhutto bravely faced dictators and tyrants of time.
She gave philosophy of reconciliation for restoration of Constitution and democracy,” he stated. “18th constitutional amendment is realisation of dream of Begum Nusrat Bhutto,” he pointed out. In his message, Bilawal Bhutto said, “Begum Nusrat Bhutto taught us that nothing is greater than tolerance and patience.”
“Raising voice of truth in darkness of oppression should be main goal. Nothing is dearer than democracy and Pakistan,” he pointed out.
Begum Nusrat was light tower of democrats, courage and commitment, he said. Without including Begum and her family, democratic discussion never completes. He said that mother of democracy has converted sadness into strength to fight for people rights. Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples’ Party women wing central secretary Faryal Talpur paid tribute to Nusrat Bhutto (wife of Quaid-e-Awam and former Prime Minister Z. A Bhutto and mother of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto) on her death anniversary. She said that Begum has faced unimaginable problems after judicial murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. While calling her mother of democracy, she said that she was graceful, encouraging and historic women. Begum Bhutto has sacrificed her family to strengthen democracy in country and she was committed to struggle for democracy which was brought to nation by her husband Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
