Laxman Utekar who is preparing for release of his upcoming film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,’ recently responded to question about casting Katrina Kaif in movie. In interview, Laxman explained why he didn’t choose to cast Katrina opposite her husband, Vicky Kaushal in ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.’

According to Laxman, he didn’t believe Katrina would be suitable for role of ‘middle-class joint family daughter-in-law.’ Instead, Sara Ali Khan has been chosen to star opposite Vicky Kaushal in film.

‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ is presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan and is set to be released in cinemas on June 2. Story is set in Indore and revolves around life of middle-class married couple, Kapil (played by Vicky Kaushal) and Somya (played by Sara Ali Khan), who appear to be headed for divorce.

‘I didn’t cast them this time because ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ has different vibe and personally, I didn’t feel that Katrina’s aura and personality would suit role of middle-class joint family daughter-in-law. If there is something in future that suits them, then why not.’–Agencies
