Young girls can play key role in country’s development: Senator Ayesha

ISLAMABAD: Girls can play key role in development of country if they are empowered, given proper guidance and confidence, Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq as focal person of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for anti-polio campaign said.

Sources close to development revealed that Ayesha Raza Farooq has been appointed to position of focal person for anti-polio campaign and her appointment will be honorary. Addressing chief guest to opening ceremony of Youth Forum organised by Pakistan Girl Guides Association National Headquarters from June 25 to 28. More than 50 Young Leaders from all regions of country are participating. Theme of Youth Forum is ‘Empowering Youth for Leadership and Governance’, said press release.  She appreciated Pakistan Girl Guides Association for its efforts to empower young girls and said it is unique program offered to girls which helps them develop into confident and responsible citizens. She highlighted role youth can play for betterment of country.  She hoped that during coming days of Youth Forum, participants would discover their potential and polish their leadership skills. She informed participants about work of National Commission on Rights of Child and looked forward to young leaders to becoming supporters of Child Rights in their communities.  Earlier, Maria Maud Sabri National Commissioner of Pakistan Girl Guides Association informed about Guiding in Pakistan.
