Karachi: Chairman of International Commission on Human Rights Pakistan (ICHRP) Muhammad Aslam Ilahi addressing seminar on International Day of Human Rights said, “International organisations must be shaken on violation of human rights in India”.

He said, “Citizens do not even have religious freedom there. Masajid, churches and places of worship of other religions are vandalised and set on fire.”

He said India is doing violation of human rights, where Muslims are tortured and burned alive for mere suspicion of eating beef.

Desecration of women is common there, while there is also ban on women wearing hijab, which has prevented thousands of female students to take admission in colleges. He said that human rights have been usurped in occupied Kashmir for 75 years and several youngster have been martyred in name of house-to-house search and hundreds of children have been blinded by firing pellet guns.

He said there is need to stop violation of human rights as much as never before because innocent people are being oppressed through illegal use of force.

He said that apart from Muslims of Burma, serious violations of human rights are being committed by severely torturing minorities living in other areas, but also in many war-torn countries, women, children and elders are being subjected to inhumane atrocities. He urged International Commission on Human Rights in Pakistan struggling for rights of people all over world to take more steps so that every person in world cannot be deprived of legitimate rights.
