Workshop on role of digital technology to be held on Sept 14

Karachi:  Sindh Minister of Education Sardar Ali Shah will be chief guest at seminar on ‘Role of Digital Technology in Achieving Academic Excellence in Sindh’ on September 14 at a local hotel. 

Strategic workshop-cum-symposium has been organised by Academic Award forum with collaboration of Sindh Higher Education Commission and Sindh Education and Literacy Department. Workshop-cum-Symposium is being held in light of report of Asian Development Bank. Dean-level delegations from public and private sector universities would attend workshop. Some highly recognised schools will also join.

Representatives of Asian Development Bank, USAID, UKAID, Japan, UNICEF and foreign embassies have also been invited to attend. Objective of event is to promote awareness about and emphasise on role of digital technologies for providing better learning opportunities and removing inequality barrier between richest and poorest students in leading towards improving their educational institutions outcomes.  

Academic Awards will be bestowed upon deserving institutions and individuals who have exceptionally contributed to academia. Academy Awards forum was launched in 2012 aiming to recognise individuals and institutions contributing to academia and foster dialogue between stakeholder, including governments, civil society organisations and scientific and academic communities.
