Moin Akhtar, a legendary figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, is remembered for his timeless contributions as an actor, host, and comedian.

Loved by millions, he remains an icon for audiences of all ages, particularly due to his unforgettable performances in Loose Talk, a show that continues to be cherished by many, including Gen Z. His passing was a devastating loss, and fans around the world still feel the void left by his death.

Junaid Jamshed, another beloved star whom we lost too soon, was incredibly close to Moin Akhtar. There is a deeply emotional reason why Junaid Jamshed led Moin Akhtar’s funeral prayers (janaza).

According to renowned writer Nasir Adeeb, both Moin Akhtar and Junaid Jamshed were deeply spiritual individuals. Before their respective deaths, the two had made a pact: they promised to lead each other’s janaza prayers, depending on who passed away first.

After Moin’s passing, Junaid Jamshed went to Moin’s house and informed his son about the promise they had made. True to his word, Junaid Jamshed took on the responsibility of leading Moin Akhtar’s funeral prayers, fulfilling the vow they had made to each other.

This act of devotion was a poignant reflection of their bond and the deep friendship they shared, which left a lasting impact on their families, friends, and fans alike.
