In 2024, Google unveiled the top search trends in Pakistan, revealing the most searched events, topics, and personalities across various categories.

Cricket dominated the searches, with Pakistanis keenly searching for information about the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s matches against teams like England, Bangladesh, Australia, and India, and the PSL 2024 schedule.

Pakistani cricketer Arshad Nadeem, who secured a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics in javelin throw, also garnered significant attention.

In the entertainment sector, the ARY Digital drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Bollywood films like Animal, Dunki, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Heeramandi topped the search lists.

When it came to personalities, Pakistanis frequently searched for figures like TV star Sana Javed, cricketers Shoaib Malik and Sajid Khan, and social media influencers Hareem Shah and Minahil Malik. Additionally, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani also made it to the list of most-searched people.

The “How To” category featured diverse searches, including queries about checking polling stations, downloading YouTube videos, earning without investment, and ways to remove grass stains from jeans.

In the recipe category, popular searches included banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, garlic bread, and traditional dishes like tawa kaleji.

Tech-related searches revealed interest in gadgets like the Infinix Note 30, Vivo Y100, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, as well as services like ChatGPT and Bing Image Creator.

This snapshot of Pakistan’s Google search trends in 2024 highlights the diverse interests and curiosity of the nation.
