Verdict in money laundering case against PM Shehbaz, Hamza on July 20

LAHORE: An Accountability Court (AC) Lahore reserved its verdict on acquittal petitions filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in money laundering and assets beyond sources of income case.
Court said it would pronounce decision on July 20. AC judge Qamaruz Zaman heard petitions. While Amjad Pervaiz representing both father and son gave arguments in case.
An accountability court accepted defendants’, Prime Minister, Hamza and others petition seeking early hearing of their acquittal pleas.
AC judge Qamaruz Zaman directed petitioners’ lawyers to give arguments today. In their pleas, Prime Minister and his son Hamza Shehbaz had contended that National Accountability Bureau had filed false and fake case against them and that their assets were well within their sources of income.
They claimed that even NAB’s supplementary report corroborated their argument.
