ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda said that he is foreseeing bloodshed in former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s upcoming long march.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that all evidence related to assassination of senior journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif have been washed away. Anchorperson was not a man who would run away and baseless allegations are being levelled against institutions, he said. Former federal minister said that Arshad Sharif was ready to return to homeland and his assassination was planned.

He was honestly performing his goals but threats to his life led him to leave country. “I have made a video and have given names and if I am killed, killers will also be killed in same way within 3 hours,” he said adding that players involved in this conspiracy are in contact on international level.

PTI leader said that journalist’s murder is now a matter of Pakistan dignity and honour, so I will speak truth without fearing consequences because his martyrdom was a pre-conspired murder, not a mere accident. He also said, “conspirators” blackmailed and threatened Arshad to leave Pakistan, so he went to Dubai. “Later, it was claimed that either establishment or some unknown institutions pressurised him and asked him to leave Dubai, but this information is false. I will give you details of it later.”

Vawda added that a common man could not send Arshad to Kenya from Dubai. “These are those people who wish to see instability and chaos in country. This wasn’t a plain death. It was a cold-blooded murder,” he reiterated.  “You might ask how would I know such things? Well, I was in contact with Arshad Sharif until very last moment and I am ready to hand over my phone for forensic analysis to any global agency,” ex-minister said. Vawda stated that he is ready to share evidence with Military Intelligence and Inter-Services Intelligence, adding that he would share further details related to Arshad’s murder in coming days. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has suspended party membership of party leader Faisal Vawda. PTI Sindh President Syed Ali Zaidi in his tweet, issued show-cause notice to Faisal Vawda and wrote, "Your statement is against party policy and are directed to submit an explanation.”
