Vast opportunities exist for Turkish investors: Sindh Minister

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that there are vast investment opportunities for Turkish investors in Pakistan, especially in Sindh, and there is need to promote trade relations between two countries.

HE addressed delegation of business community from Turkey at a local hotel where Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu also addressed. Secretary of Industries and Commerce Rashid Ahmed Solangi was present.

Number of businessmen from Turkey and Pakistan also participated in event. It should be noted that businessmen belonging to 30 big companies in Turkey are on visit to Sindh to promote trade relations between two countries. Minister said that an agreement had been signed in August 2022 to promote trade between two countries.

Pakistan and Turkey had good trade relations in many fields. He said that trade volume between two countries has reached ten billion dollars in last decade which is welcome thing. He requested Turkish investors to invest in Pakistan, especially in Sindh. Turkish President Tayyab Erdogan is role model for Muslim ummah.

He said that it is hoped that Turkish investors will consider their request. He thanked Turkish government and people for helping flood victims of Sindh.
