Uzbekistan’s Presidential Elections 2023: early voting in Pakistan

Islamabad: Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan organised early voting in Presidential Elections of Uzbekistan in Lahore and Karachi. Voting process was organised by Electoral Code. This political event was attended by citizens of Uzbekistan living in these cities and adjacent territories. In polling stations, voters have gotten acquainted with candidates and their pre-election programmes.

Updated Constitution of Republic of Uzbekistan has been distributed among citizens, new version of which was approved at national referendum on April 30, 2023.

Citizens of Uzbekistan noted importance of large-scale reforms carried out in country in all spheres of life, their socially-oriented nature, highly appreciating priority of protecting interests of citizens in structure of relations between society and state.

“Today we participated in an important political event and voted for future of our Uzbekistan. We are confident that President-elect will serve for further development of our Motherland”, said young compatriots Kamila and Alina Saed.

“Even though we are abroad, our country ensures observance of our constitutional rights. This pleases us,” said Jamila Arifbaeva.

“Elections are event for common political decision of people, beginning of new stage in development of statehood. We are confident that election results will serve to continue processes of renewal and development of Uzbekistan,” Albina Kurtbedinova said.

Citizens of Uzbekistan can also take part in Presidential Elections and vote on July 9 (Sunday) at Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad.
