Uzbek Ambassador vows to strengthen bilateral trade relationship with Pakistan

KARACHI: To mark 76th Independence Day celebrations of Pakistan, a dinner gathering in honour of Ambassador of Uzbekistan Aybek Arif Usmanov was hosted at residence of Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), former MNA Engineer Najeeb Haroon and senior journalist Zahid Karani hosted this event.

Uzbek envoy vowed to make all-out efforts for increasing the level of bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and to assist in the best possible way for the long-term economic prosperity and development.

Uzbek envoy while talking to ‘Daily National Courier’ said that both Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoy a cordial relationship for years and now it is the need of the hour to further cement our economic relationship across diversified fields.

He added that “I am currently in Karachi to meet Pakistani business community, traders, investors for some fruitful discussions on businesses expansion.” He also said that during his stay in Karachi, he will also meet the Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and other government officials.

Engr Najeeb Haroon warmly welcomed the esteemed guests, while speaking on the occasion Haroon said that Pakistan has massive potential and talent that can aid a lot in the economic development of the country while the investors are keen to expand their business operations globally with a positive hindsight. Collaborative efforts and optimism are much needed to yield long-lasting productive results.

The dinner was also attended by the Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong, Consul General of Thailand Narut Soontarodom, Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu, Consul General of Oman Engr Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari and diplomats from other countries. A large number of businessmen, industrialists, and others also attended the event.
