US Democrat party leader, Imran discuss flood situation

ISLAMABAD: US Democrat Party leader Tahir Javaid met former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan yesterday and vowed to accelerate efforts to help flood affectees.
According to a statement issued by PTI, during meeting, matters pertaining to current flood situation and bilateral interests came under discussion. Tahir Javaid informed Imran Khan about his visit to Sindh regarding assistance to flood victims.
PTI Chairman said that Tahir Javaid’s passion is admirable, people trapped in flood still need help. Statement further said that matters regarding Pakistan’s economic situation was discussed in meeting and former PM said that economic situation is very bad, only government coming from peoples’ mandate can deal with all challenges. “Only solution to crisis situation is holding general elections as soon as possible,” he said.
