Urvashi Rautela, an Indian model and actress responded to allegations of ‘stalking’ Indian player Rishabh Pant by comparing herself to Mahsa Amini, a young Iranian woman who died at hands of her country’s morality police a week before T20 World Cup in Australia.

Star posted a video of herself online with caption, “First in Iran Mahsa Amini and now in India, it’s happening with me they’re bullying me as a stalker?” She went on to lament, “No one cares about me or supports me. A strong woman feels deeply and loves fiercely.

Her tears flow as abundantly as her laughter. She is both soft and powerful, practical and spiritual. She is a gift to world.” In an interview Rautela had given before their online conversation began, she said that ‘RP’ had waited for her in a hotel lobby and phoned her numerous times, but by time she woke up she was too tired to answer. Interviewee’s usage of moniker “Pant” led many online to believe that she was a cricket player. Additionally, India TV claimed many sightings of couple in 2018. ‘Rautela and Pant were dating earlier this year and rumour made headlines. Soon after, cricketer asked her to stop bothering him. On his Instagram, he wrote, “It is funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and for hitting headlines.’

Rishabh is currently staying in Australia for T20 World Cup where Urvashi also arrived in just a few days. Mere speculation transformed into an array of online abuse and criticism for young starlet, with many suggesting she has been “stalking” 2016 Indian Premier League captain.–Agencies
