Undergoing SMC course officers praise SSU commandos’ professional standard

Karachi: Thirty nine officers of grade-19 from federal and provincial governments undergoing 32nd Senior Management Course (SMC) at National Institute of Management (NIM) Karachi emphasised that whole police department could be established as per international standards, if steps followed by Special Security Unit adopted across country.

This was observed by officers from various government departments during their detailed visit of various sections of Special Security Unit Headquarters. DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed briefing delegation about functioning of various sections of SSU informed measures adopted setting up country's first Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T) team, advance professional training provided to commandos and flood relief operation conducted by Security Division.

DIG Security informed that Pakistan Army is also providing modern professional training including use of multipurpose weapons to SSU commandos who are capable to crackdown activities of terrorists and hardened criminals. Witnessing mock exercise conducted by commandos of S.W.A.T team where hostile situation was created by terrorists, officers were impressed by professional standard of commandos and declared Unit as world class law enforcement outfit in country.
