Lahore: Unaired clips of PML-N Chief organiser Maryam Nawaz’s recent interview with local TV channel have gone viral on social media wherein she was caught off guard when asked about her assets and Toshakhana gifts. Two video clips of ruling party leader’s interview with acnhorperson Mansoor Ali Khan were not aired but they were leaked to social media.

In these clips, Maryam was left baffled when she was confronted with tough question about her father Nawaz Sharif retaining a high-end Mercedes car from Toshakahan as Prime Minister during 1990s.

Maryam initially expressed ignorance about vehicle but when interviewer supported his claims through documents, PML-N leader asked him to stop recording and not to air that part of interview. In censored video clip, interviewer said former premier Nawaz retained vehicle, received as gift from Saudi Arabia’s prince, from Toshakhana in violation of Toshakhana rules. In response to this, Maryam said that retaining any gift from Toshakhana is not illegal after paying an amount as per policy of depository. However, anchor rebutted her claims, saying according to rules it was not allowed to retain expensive cars. Similarly, in another video, anchorperson questioned Maryam about her alleged BMW car “Which was gifted to her by UAE’s royal family and value of car was declared 3.5 million in tax year 2009-10”.

However, PML-N leader responded saying, she did not know about this and “Will get back to you on this.”ood Baig and other officers were in attendance.

Participants reviewed progress on development schemes in financial year 2022-23, progress on development schemes related to various departments of KMC and preparation of proposed schemes for next financial year 2023-24 and other relevant matters.
