Two soldiers martyred, 4 terrorists killed in Balochistan anti-terror operation: ISPR

Balochistan: Two soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Balochistan’s Shahrig town, a statement issued by military said.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) commenced in Kaman Pass area near Shahrig, a small town of province near district Sibi, to clear a hideout of terrorists.
“Security forces were dropped by helicopter near suspected location of terrorists to cut escape routes and clear hideout,” it said. Military’s media wing said during establishment of blocking positions, terrorists opened fire on security forces, resulting in martyrdom of Sepoy Shafi Ullah and Sepoy Muhammad Qaiser.
During ensuing heavy exchange of fire, four terrorists were also killed while a cache of arms and ammunition including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered. “Clearance operation, however, continues to apprehend other terrorists in area,” it added.
