Turkiye, Nepal envoys, UN official discuss matters of mutual interest with FM Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkiye agreed to keep up bilateral cooperation in multiple fields including trade, investment, defence, education and culture. Bilateral ties were discussed in meeting between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Ambassador of Turkiye in Islamabad Dr Mehmet Paçaci, who called on him here.
Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan and Turkiye enjoyed fraternal brotherly relations as both countries stood by each other in hour of distress. Turkish envoy thanked Pakistan for extending support following an earthquake in his country. Bilawal also thanked Turkiye for supporting Pakistan following devastating floods. Both sides resolved to continue cooperating with each other on bilateral as well as multilateral forums. Meanwhile, Ambassador of Nepal Tapas Adhikari called on Bilawal Bhutto. During meeting, they discussed historic bilateral ties and ways to enhance cooperation in multiple fields. Bilawal said that both Pakistan and Nepal were among founding members of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. He expressed good wishes for his Nepalese counterpart.
Moreover, Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator of United Nations in Pakistan Julien Harneis called on Bilawal Bhutto. During meeting, they discussed Pakistan-UN cooperation including in development and humanitarian domains. He appreciated United Nations for its partnership with Pakistan to advance its socioeconomic development. He particularly appreciated world body’s assistance to Pakistan following devastating floods in country.
Pakistan is an active member of United Nations and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue to play an active role at international forums. He appreciated United Nations for its partnership with Pakistan to advance its socioeconomic development, according to Foreign Office press release.
