Turkish Consulate hosts Iftar function to felicitate Alkhidmat

Karachi: Turkish Consulate Karachi along with TIKA invited Alkhidmat Karachi to their co-hosted Iftar party to express friendship and solidarity with Pakistan. Alkhidmat’s delegation included Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureishi, Director Community Services Qazi Syed Sadruddin and other senior officials.

Also present at function were Governor Sindh, Chief Secretary Sindh, several provincial ministers and Consul Generals of number of countries. Consulate also invited orphan children from Alkhidmat’s Aghosh Homes for Iftar event. These children, who received gifts and Eidi, enjoyed function and meal very much. During function, Cemal Sangu Consul General of Turkey welcomed guests and expressed his gratitude for financial and other assistance by Pakistan during recent earthquake that struck Turkey. Later, Alkhidmat’s Disaster Management team comprising Sarfaraz Sheikh, Dr. Kashif, Fawad Sherwani and Hamza Ahmed who had visited Turkey on rescue and relief mission were felicitated and honoured with certificates for their efforts.
