ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that his government's priority was to transform time-tested Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties into mutually beneficial, strategic and economic partnership, with focus on attracting Saudi investment for bankable projects in Pakistan.

Prime minister in meeting with Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, who called on him thanked Saudi authorities for expanding scope of 'Road to Makkah' initiative, that would facilitate Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked Custodian of Two Holy Masajid, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for their kind wishes on his re-election as Prime Minister.

Given special fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister said Saudi ambassador was first envoy he received after assumption of office. Extending an invitation to Prime Minister to visit Saudi Arabia, Saudi Ambassador assured him of Saudi leadership's full support.

Envoy said that Saudi Arabia would always remain reliable partner for building stronger and prosperous Pakistan.
