TLP announces countrywide shutter down strike

KARACHI: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) will observed countrywide shutter down strike on February 27 (today) against skyrocketing inflation. TLP Chief Saad Rizvi said in statement that nationwide shutter down strike will be observed across country on Monday.
Rizvi claimed that nation will support TLP's strike call from all corners of country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He added that TLP is raising its voice for rights of Pakistanis.
He said that TLP was forced to give strike call due to skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and petroleum products. He appealed to nationals to back TLP's strike call to get rid of inflation.
On other hand, Chairman of wholesale grocers association Abdul Rauf Ibrahim said that main markets of Karachi including Jorya Bazaar and adjacent markets will remain open. He added that they will support protest against inflation but they will not close markets.
