‘Time to take stand’ as rulers desire to win polls by spreading fears: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan said that rivals want to win elections by spreading fear. Addressing PTI workers and supporters, Imran Khan said that time has arrived to stand against rulers. “Everyone should get ready to take part in jihad for real independence.” “We are facing restrictions on election campaign despite announcement of election schedule. 80 cases were registered against me. They are trying to spread fear to win elections.”
He said that nation knew about Arshad Sharif’s innocence who was backing what is right. “They do such terrible things to journalist whose conscience cannot be bought.”
Khan said that specially-abled child Zille Shah was brutally tortured to death. Imran Khan slammed incumbent government, saying that they destroyed economy, on other hand, they dissolved corruption cases worth Rs 100 billion against them.
He added that nation is getting poor but rulers are getting richer day by day. Imran Khan said that one path is leading toward slavery and destruction and another path is leading towards real independence.
He alleged that Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are looting country for 30 years and it is right time to stand against all of them. He said PTI would move court against Punjab interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar and Lahore Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana in Bilal case.
He said country was going through time worse than martial law adding that an infidel society could survive but cruel society could never be. LHC ordered Pemra to revoke ban on broadcasting of his speeches but it was not acted upon, he added. He questioned powerful saying whose influence there was behind forcing Zil-e-Shah [deceased party workers nickname] father to stave off case [against perpetrators].
