Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori met participants of 38th Mid-Career Management Course conducted by National Institute of Management at Governor’s House.
Governor said that in coming years, Pakistan will stand with other developed countries, because if you work with good intentions, Allah supports you. Good work requires character and intention, not authority. He said that we have not given anything to country, we must take care while in position.
I am sorry to say that as nation we have not done any such feat to give examples. We worked for all but gave nothing to country. Governor said that first flight of Emirates Airline came to Karachi that is why it is called Emirates Karachi (EK).
First Governor of State Bank of Saudi Arabia was Pakistani. There is large number of Pakistanis, but we are divided into different sections. Governor said that after 18th Amendment, Governor has no authority but I am not disappointed. I have taken many initiatives from first day.
He informed 24,000 square feet floor and marquee are being built for IT classes, 160,000 people have been registered for ration, bell of hope has been installed and system is going to be digitised. Not even a single penny was taken from government for all these works, all this was done thanks to his moral authority and intention, he said.
Balochistan and KPK have also approached us for IT programme, he added. Governor said it is time to do something for country and resolve to serve nation. Later, participants of Mid-Career Management Course visited Quaid Room in Governor’s House.
Meanwhile, Governor expressed grief over death of expert jurist SM Zafar. He prayed for forgiveness of deceased and elevation of ranks and patience for family members. Governor also expressed sorrow over death of former administrator Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman’s father Waizur Rehman.
