Rawalpindi: Security Forces killed at least three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Zhob district, military said in statement.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani troops effectively engaged location of terrorists. It said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists.

However, it added that, during intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from front, 33-year-old and resident of Mianwali district Major Babar Khan, having fought gallantly paid ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.

ISPR stated that sanitisation operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists present in area. ISPR further said that security forces of Pakistan, in step with nation, remain determined to thwart attempts to sabotage peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen resolve.
