Three soldiers martyred, 7 terrorists killed in skirmishes with terrorists in Lakki Marwat: ISPR

LAKKI MARWAT: Three Army soldiers embraced martyrdom during skirmishes with terrorists in Amir Kalam and Tajbi Khel areas of district Lakki Marwat, military’s media wing said. Security forces conducted successful operation and killed seven terrorists in vicinity of Lakki Marwat Police Station. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces while fighting gallantly, repulsed three attacks by terrorists on different locations in Lakki Marwat district.

Motorcycle-borne suicide bomber exploded himself near security forces post in Lakki Marwat followed by fierce fire exchange between security personnel and terrorists. Troops effectively engaged terrorists as result of which four terrorists were killed. In two other encounters with terrorists in Amir Kalam and Tajbi Khel areas of Lakki Marwat, three more terrorists including terrorist commander Musa Khan were eliminated. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from seven killed terrorists. However, during an intense exchange of fire, Naib Subedar Taj Mir (age 40 years, resident of District Nowshera), Havaldar Zakir Ahmed (age 38 years, resident of District Abbottabad) and Sepoy Abid Hussain (age 29 years, resident of District DI Khan) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat. Sanitisation of areas is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in area.

Armed forces are determined to eliminate menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve. Inter-Services Public Relations stated incident resulted in killing of three terrorists including terrorist commander Musa Khan.
