Three policemen martyred in terrorist attack in Khyber Agency

KHYBER: In latest strike on law enforcers, at least three policemen were martyred in terrorist attack on police check-post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber Agency.
Area’s police said terrorists opened fire on check-post in Tekhta Beg and used explosive material in attack, after which police station caught fire. Exchange of fire between police force and terrorists was still underway. Immediately after attack, traffic on Pak-Afghan Highway was shut down and heavy contingent of police was dispatched to check-post. Talking to journalists, Jamrud SHO Shah Khalid termed storm on police check-post a suicide attack. “Suicide bomber entered check-post and blew himself up.”
SHO added that police opened fire on target upon seeing suicide bomber. Two policemen Manzoor Shah and Younis Khan were martyred in attack, while cook in check-post, identified as Rafiq was shifted to Peshawar hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
