Three plays presented at Pakistan Theater Festival in Arts Council

KARACHI: On 23rd day of ongoing Pakistan Theater Festival in Arts Council Karachi, three theater plays,  Koi Tayyari Nhi , Fareb and Sham Bhi Thi Dhawan Dhawan were presented. Koi Tayyari Nhi directed by Muneeb ur Rehman at improvisation theater, highlight of improvisation Theater was absence of pre-determined script in play, students of Arts Council Karachi Theater Academy made audience laugh with their improvisational acting while students also presented skits on topics given by audience.

Fareb directed by Muneeb Shaikh starring Ghulam Mohiuddin, Sara Taqi and Hasan Malik follows lives of three people named Aya, Rameez and Jerry, Aya and Rameez are married couple in tangled web of relationships who shares life with best friend Jerry, but their friendship hides hidden feelings, while third show Sham Bhi Thi Dhawan Dhawan was written by Rafiq Anjum and director was Paras Masroor.

Cast included Arshad Sheikh and Laiba Anwar. It is charming adaptation of Anjum Rafiq’s work, play opens with walls of sanatorium as doctor with unwavering determination. While upholding rules and regulations, deviant female patient struggles with her circumstances, uncovering soft and mischievous essence hidden in her fiery nature, interplay between these contrasting personalities forms centerpiece of this fascinating tale.
