Decades of cordial ties and the everlasting saga of friendship, commitment and cooperation with Pakistan, whenever turns out to be the talk of the town, the country that comes very first is none other but People’s Republic of China.
No matter as to what extent the difficulty Pakistan has faced in the past years, China always stood firm to help her bosom friend amid natural calamities, the burning issue of Indian atrocities in the Held Valley of Kashmir or economic quandaries, China never left any stone unturned in fulfilling its promises made to Pakistan.
One of the biggest example of sincere friendship between Pakistan and China is the ‘China Pakistan Economic Corridor’ (CPEC) and its flagship project ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ (BRI) aimed at revitalizing the economy of Pakistan by enhancing the country’s infrastructure, providing a pool of employment opportunities and attracting huge foreign investments into Pakistan.
Irrespective of whosoever government runs the country, the CPEC is gearing-up ahead with full fortitude, courage, positivity and mutual coordination of all the concerned stakeholders in both countries. It can be said indubitably that CPEC will prove to be a game-changer in the economic landscape of Pakistan, and it is hoped that this mega-development project will bear fruitful results for the generations ahead.
The success of this multi-faceted economic revival project aimed at the sincere intentions, collective efforts of the governments of both Pakistan and China along with the unending support of the military leadership.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year, Pakistan and China reiterated their resolve to further cement their partnership for a shared future and the benefit of their peoples.
Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar during the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People on the sidelines of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum made it explicit to all that Islamabad would not allow anything to undermine the strategic partnership with Beijing. The premier termed the Pak-China bilateral partnership “made in heaven” and added that Pakistan “blindly trusted China”.
Not only PM Kakar, but also the former premiers Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s top-notch leadership, including former President Asif Ali Zardari, ex-Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at several times vowed full support to the CPEC project and also reaffirmed their commitment of enhancing Pak-China bilateral ties in diversified sectors.
It is hoped that in the future this everlasting tale of Pak-China ‘love beyond one’s imagination’ will create countless doors of great success for Pakistan and this friendship will defend the saying that ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed’ in all respects.
