The prominence of prayer

There are many religions in our world. Each religion follows different rules and traditions. One of the common things they all do is pray. Prayer helps to keep people connected with God. For some people, it is actually like a ray of hope. It makes them feel as if someone of supreme power is present to help them.

Prayers can be of different types. You can pray in a church, temple or even at your own home. No matter where you pray, the ultimate aim of everyone is to talk to God about their sorrows and happiness. We need to look at prayer with deeper thoughts. Prayer isn't just closing your eyes, folding your hands and speaking. Prayer is a much more meaningful part of religion. We all need to pray, God himself demands us to pray.

It is rightly said that "Prayers are the essential conversations we do every day. We must always take it to God before taking it to anyone else." What do you do when you are sad, depressed, or are confused with which path to select in life? Do you remember God, and reveal your feelings in the form of prayers? Yes, prayers hold a vital role in nearly everyone's life. Whether the situation is something good or bad, prayers have always been the best communication of life with the eternal. For some, it is a way to thank for what they have, while for some, it is a way to ask for help. No matter whatever reason you pray with, prayers are quite essential in everyone's life.

How do you know anyone when you meet them? By talking and spending time with them, right? The similar theory applies here too. With the help of prayers, you can get close to God slowly and easily. Prayers are the best time one spends with God for interaction. The more you would interact with God, the more you would know him and get connected to him.
God is ever ready to help His devotee and the way to reach him is through prayer. If a time is set aside for prayer everyday it will get ingrained like any other habit and in course of time devotion will take deep root.  After gaining devotion and knowledge, worldly attachments will not affect the person as there will be total change of perspective. His case is similar to that of a base metal transforming into gold by contact with a philosopher's stone. After becoming gold it remains gold.

It will not revert to its original state even if it remains buried in the earth for long years. Likewise, a devotee becomes a totally metamorphosed person whose focus shifted from his worldly attachments to attachment to the God.

A person with faith without prayer is like a skeleton less a body. Prayer can lead us to confession, conviction, conformation, declaration, decisions of righteousness, standing firm in Jesus, and a victorious life. The importance of daily communication through prayer cannot be overestimated.

Prayer can have a variety of benefits for you. It can help you find new strength, find meaning in life, and connect with your spiritual nature. Prayer can also help you improve your physical health and well-being. In fact, prayer has been shown to be a powerful tool for improving mental health, emotional health, and overall happiness.

Praying is one of the five pillars of Islam. Understanding the significance of it is one of the most important signs of faith. It is the most pure and sincere gesture of being a servant to Allah. The believer must always fear and submit to Him. he importance of the prayer in Islam cannot be understated.  It was made obligatory upon all the prophets and for all peoples.  God has declared its obligatory status under majestic circumstances.  For example, when God spoke directly to Moses, He said,

"And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you.  Verily, I am God! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance." (Quran 20:13-14)

Once a man asked the Prophet about the most virtuous deed.  The Prophet stated that the most virtuous deed is the prayer.  The man asked again and again and for the first three times, the Prophet answered, "The prayer," then on the fourth occasion he stated, "Jihad in the way of God. Prayer is so important that you must perform it in any circumstance. Even if you are on a journey, and also if you are very ill and are confined to bed you still must pray Pray. You may ask how are you supposed to pray when you are truly ill and are confined to bed? In that case, we can pray while lying down in bed, using postures and signs. Religions of all people provide rituals of prayer. Islam offers several rituals of prayer such as the sacred washing (wudhu), call for prayer or the azaan, performing the salah, and reciting the Qur'an. Whatever the ritual may be, they all provide ways of connecting with God. God is present everywhere. There is no place where he is not present. He can come to our aid anywhere we are. Prayer helps us to remember this truth. It removes all unnecessary fears for our minds. It is the prayer that tells us the God is omnipresent.
