Thaw in Pak-Afghan ties

Pakistan and Afghanistan have been part of the same region for centuries and the residents have been fighting for friendship and brotherhood.

This is the reason why the ideal relations of the people living on the Afghan land adjacent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have never decreased. Until the 1970s, there are many examples of government-level rapprochement between the two countries, while the next decade was a test of mutual relations, when the Soviet Union occupied Afghan territory, which Pakistan fiercely resisted and hosted  millions of Afghan refugees.  After the withdrawal of the Soviet army, Pakistan first recognized the Taliban government and played its diplomatic role at the international level, however, when NATO troops came to Afghanistan after 9/11, things changed a lot. India got an opportunity to play openly, which helped the terrorists to target Pakistan, and conspired to oust the governments of Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani.  After the withdrawal of the American army from Afghanistan, the two countries had the opportunity to increase the traditional relations, in the comprehensive negotiations held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the agreement to not allow their territory to be used against each other was implemented.  After that, the Afghans Taliban government has not been able to prove the friendship and brotherhood of the past. Instead of expelling the outlawed TTP from its territory as per the agreement, it has not taken any notice of its terrorist attacks on Pakistan, which has tension has arisen between the two ountries. Relations of friendship and brotherhood were hit. Most of the trade worth billions of rupees turned into smuggling and their economies suffered losses. On the other hand, the Taliban are saying that the Doha agreement is related to the United States and Afghanistan, the rest of the countries have nothing to do with it, and that the current terrorist attacks in Pakistan are an internal matter of Pakistan. This position of the Afghan government is actually a cover-up of the facts.

According to the Doha agreement, the territory of Afghanistan should not be used for terrorism in any country. The Afghan government is encouraging terrorism in the region by providing safe havens to terrorist elements and increasing the supply of modern weapons.  This will lead to the same situation in the region that emerged after 9/11. To deal with this situation, China, Pakistan and Iran must jointly adopt a far-reaching and viable strategy against terrorism so that civil war does not spread in the region and the soil of Afghanistan is not used for terrorism. The continuation of the wave of terrorism in Pakistan is connected with the arrival of the Taliban government in Afghanistan and the Afghan policy of Imran Khan.  Recently, China has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Afghanistan under which Chinese companies will extract oil from Amu Darya. This is the first agreement of any country with Afghanistan in recent times. Apart from this, Afghanistan depends on Pakistan for all its imports and exports and other economic and cultural aspects. It is necessary that Pakistan, China and Iran together press Afghanistan not to allow its territory to be used for terrorism and confirm before any kind of development agreements that Afghanistan will completely abide by the bilateral agreement. Otherwise, the terrorism of TTP will not be limited to Pakistan, other neighboring countries will also be affected sooner or later.  Thousands of miles of unsecured border area between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran provide safe havens for terrorists, for which it is necessary that Iran and Pakistan make a border agreement so that terrorists cannot use these areas for their operations. In the last twenty years, a new young generation has evolved in Afghanistan, which despite its internal backwardness, conservatism and the basic reactionary nature of its rulers, is ready for serious efforts to maintain freedom.

Therefore, the neighboring countries continue to increase pressure on Afghanistan to respect democratic and human rights.  The relations of Pakistan and Afghanistan with the Central Asian states are in the form of a triangle. Addressing the recent summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that while taking effective measures against terrorists, the interim government of Afghanistan should hold meaningful talks with Pakistan.  The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is playing an important role in the social and economic development of the region, while our challenges are common, there is a need for joint measures to eradicate poverty and peace in the region. The Prime Minister said that for the bright future of the region, we need geographical and we have to free ourselves from political confrontation. It is also very important for the Prime Minister to say that Pakistan is an important trade corridor due to its location, in the context of which the CPEC project is the destination of development and prosperity for the countries of the region. will help to facilitate while sustainable peace in Afghanistan is our common goal, for which we have to have a meaningful dialogue with the government there.  The Prime Minister said that for the bright future of the region, we have to free ourselves from geographical and political confrontation. The CPEC project will help the countries of the region to achieve development and prosperity while sustainable peace in Afghanistan is our common goal, for which we will have a meaningful dialogue with the government there.  This address of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is very worrying for the countries associated with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The tension in the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan is not only a problem of both of them, but the economic and social problems of the region. This matter is very important for the future and development and prosperity, which needs to be thought about seriously and to find a solid solution to all the problems.

There is a need to think seriously and find a solid solution to all the problems. Recently, the Afghan delegation in the Doha-3 talks has once again assured that its land will not be used against Pakistan, both There is no better way to restore ideal relations between countries.
