KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Mohajir Qaumi Movement Chairman Afaq Ahmed discussed current political situation, unification of MQM factions and other matters pertaining to urban Sindh. Efforts were underway for unification of all Muttahida Qaumi Movement factions.

Earlier, leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan and Pak-Sarzameen Party agreed upon top sharing position after merger of both political parties. According to sources, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will be head of MQM-P, while Dr Farooq Sattar would be appointed as convener.

Similarly, PSP Chief Mustafa Kamal will be given position of Deputy Convener and Anis Kaimkhani will be head of party’s organisational affairs. Sources told that two political parties would be merged on Sunday for joint political struggle
