Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori taking notice of incident of rocket explosion at house in Kandhkot asked IG Sindh and Commissioner Larkana for report on incident.

Governor expressed his condolences to relatives of those who died in incident and also directed to provide best medical facilities to injured. Eight people including five children, lost their lives while five others sustained injuries after rocket launcher shell exploded in house in Kandhkot district.

Kandhkhot Senior Superintendent of Police Rohail Khoso said that incident took place in house in Ghora Ghat of kutcha (riverine) area.  According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that rocket cell was found by children on an agricultural land which they brought home where it exploded.  Rescue personnel shifted bodies and injured people to hospital as soon as incident was reported, said law enforcement agency, adding that an investigation into matter has been started.

Following incident, Sindh caretaker Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar took notice of event, seeking detailed report from Inspector-General Dr Riffat Mukhtar. Interim CM questioned how rocket cell reached village.  “Was any stock of weapons being smuggled to kutcha areas? Are there facilitators of dacoits present in village?
