Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on visit to headquarters of Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC directed to further improve performance of call centres and other departments. Chief CPLC Zubair Habib gave detailed briefing about performance of institution. Governor said that CPLC has an important role in controlling and solving crimes, CPLC has played an important role in solving cases of kidnapping for ransom. Tessori said that scientific analysis of data can help in crime prevention, adding that CPLC can play an important role in restoring trust between public and police. Governor said that CPLC should also work to deal with domestic violence cases along with other crimes.
Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and K Electric CEO Monis Abdullah Alvi talked on uninterrupted supply of electricity to domestic and industrial consumers, controlling line losses and other issues.
Expressing dissatisfaction over overall performance of K-Electric, Governor said that load shedding during winter season is question mark. Tessori said to set up an open kitchen for customers and announce package for customers in a week. Governor directed Monis Abdullah Alvi to ensure continuous supply of electricity to citizens and also to end complaints of unannounced load shedding in different areas of city. He said that more steps should be taken to improve delivery system and complaints of sending excess bills should also be redressed. Chief Executive said steps are being taken to provide uninterrupted electricity to domestic and industrial consumers and he expressed his willingness to announce package for consumers.
Meanwhile, Governor attended soyam of Mushtaq Jamali at residence of PFUJ President GM Jamali. Governor expressed his condolences to GM Jamali and prayed Allah grant family members and grant strength to bear this trauma.
