Karachi: MQM-P veterans, workers and office bearers are not happy with decision regarding appointment of Kamran Tessori as Sindh Governor.

One party’s town member (formerly recognised as sector member) of Gulshan-e-Maymar Scheme-33 on condition of anonymity told this scribe that party workers are very much annoyed by this decision.  “Tessori is a gift received by MQM-P and party has parceled it further,” he added. Kamran Tessori re-joined MQM-P in September and party leadership restored him as Deputy Convener.

He said, “So that is why I am saying that we have parceled gift back to them.” Another MQM-P senior worker who is currently serving as UC incharge (formerly recognised as unit incharge) and joined party in 1990 said that workers are not happy with appointment of Kamran Tessori, even some senior party leaders are not happy with decision. However, a “specific group” within party is happy with decision for their vested interest.

“Even party supporters are not happy and asking questions from us regarding appointment of Kamran Tessori,” he added. “Tessori comes from helicopter and become Sindh Governor.” Commenting on recent development, a MQM-P town incharge (formerly known as sector incharge), who joined party in 1993 said that party is not in position to say “No”, who makes decisions at top level. He said appointment of Kamran Tessori from MQM-P platform was a big surprise for all of us.
