Tessori expresses sorrow over Major, Captain’s martyrdom

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori returning back to Karachi after completing visit to Turkiye condemned explosion near vehicle of armed forces in Kohlu Balochistan, saying armed forces have sacrificed many precious lives for defense of Pakistan. Tessori said that Major Jawad and Captain Sagheer who were martyred in blast are heroes of entire nation.

Governor said that such cowardly attacks will not weaken resolve of armed forces against terrorists. Entire nation is with its armed forces to eradicate terrorism.

Meanwhile, meeting with Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki Ambassador of Saudi Arabia he discussed Pak-Saudi relations, promotion of mutual trade, investment opportunities in province and other matters.

Governor said that people of Pakistan love KSA because of holy places. Saudi Arabia has helped Pakistan in every difficult time, which is reason why Pakistan attaches special importance to relations with Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki said that Saudi government attaches special importance to relations with Pakistan.

Moreover Governor along with Chief of Pakistan Navy Admiral M. Amjad Khan Niazi visited to 2023 (PIMEC). It is important to be aware of development in maritime sector, exhibition will promote maritime sector, Kamran said.

He inspected various stalls and got information from organisers. Congratulating organisers for holding exhibition he said that this exhibition will give development to maritime sector. Pakistan has vast maritime borders, therefore awareness of development in maritime sector is essential.

Governor expressed grief over death of poet and writer Amjad Islam Amjad. Islam Amjad's efforts for promotion of Urdu literature will always be remembered, he said.

Besides visiting residence of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf he expressed condolences to Begum Syeba Musharraf and her son Bilal Musharraf. Governor Sindh prayed for elevation of Pervez Musharraf and patience for his family. General Musharraf's services for development of country will always be remembered, he added.
