Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour Book" has become a record-breaking success, selling an impressive 814,000 copies over the Thanksgiving weekend, according to Circana.
The book, sold exclusively through Target, has achieved the biggest publishing launch of 2024, despite being available only through a single retailer. The "Eras" book release, which coincided with Black Friday, has surpassed expectations, even without being offered on platforms like Amazon.
The sales have put Swift in rare company, with only one nonfiction book surpassing her launch numbers: Barack Obama's A Promised Land, which sold 816,000 copies in its first week in 2020. Unlike Obama's memoir, which was available in all major outlets, the "Eras" book was exclusive to Target, which helped boost its incredible performance in just the first weekend.
