SZABIST CONVOCATION: 'Passion breaks barriers, dreams turns true', Ahmed Shah tells Szabist's shinning stars

Karachi: Sindh caretaker Minister of Information, Minority Affairs, Social Protection President Arts Council of Karachi Ahmad Shah addressing twentieth convocation of SZABIST University mentioned his educational background at Karachi University.

He acknowledged presence of one thousand seven hundred fifty bright minds in SZABIST University over past two days, expressing optimism for their future endeavors. He highlighted diverse audience, including teachers and parents and emphasised that youth present here hold world in their hands in form of mobile.

He shared his personal experiences, stressing that he learned more outside classrooms, while sitting with poets and literary figures. He highlighted various initiatives undertaken by Arts Council, underscoring that financial status or occupation should not be barriers to success. He said that students can achieve everything in life with determination and hard work. They can overcome obstacles and make significant impact globally by utilising their abilities in right direction, he opined.

Drawing parallel with history, he noted that when Americans halted conquests, they prioritised building universities over weapons. He conveyed students’ fortune to study in an institution that encapsulates dream of Benazir Bhutto.

Dream aimed to provide quality education within Pakistani youth, who couldn’t study abroad. Encouraging students, he advised them to break free from constraints, surpass their limits and pursue their passions in their chosen fields. He emphasised that passion holds more significance than intelligence and encouraged them to stay connected with their communities.

Shahnaz Wazir Ali President of SZABIST University highlighted that nine hundred and thirty-three students received degrees during ceremony. Graduates from SZABIST campuses in Karachi, Lahore, Larkana and Dubai were recognised. Quoting Benazir Bhutto, she reiterated that education is powerful tool capable of changing world, playing crucial role in societal improvement and awareness. During ceremony, 1,750 students including 21 PhD recipients received certificates.

Thirty-three gold medals, twenty-six silver medals and five hundred and twenty students with CGPA equal to or above 3.50 were named in ‘Chancellor’s Honour List.’ Convocation ceremony witnessed presence of Board of Governors, management, faculty, staff, graduates, parents and academicians of SZABIST University. More than 5,000 attendees including guests, print and electronic media representatives and supporting partners participated in event.
