Symposium on SOPs for private educational institution held

Karachi: Participants at a symposium on increasing complaints that students are remained in classrooms during lunch-break and after school asked to submit suggestions in written to Directorate Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions, School Education and Literacy Department Sindh during winter vacations.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be issued to schools for implementation. It was decided that such symposiums will be organised in other regions of Sindh. Sir Brahan organised event at Scout Headquarters attended by heads of private schools. Director Katran Noor Ali Qureshi specially participated in symposium, Director Registration Rafia Javed Mallah delivered opening remarks and shed light on objectives of programme.

Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah took notice on increasing complaints in this regard. Religious and physical safety of children is our first priority, which we want to ensure together. After which participants gave their valuable suggestions regarding issues. On behalf of Director Abdul Sattar Memon, Monitoring Officer Akhlaq Ahmed, Deputy Director Gulab Rai participated. Acting Director General Muhammad Afzal also addressed symposium.

Participants will submit suggestions to Directorate in light of guidelines to be given so that there will be no any shortcoming in educational institutions decorum. Representatives of Beacon House School, Bhatti School, Citizen Foundation School, Karachi Public School, Nasira School, Usman Public School, Plus School, PECHS School, Falconhouse Grammar School, The Educators, Smart School, Lady Bird Grammar School participated while Catholic Board represented by Principal of St. Paul’s School.  Regional Director of Hyderabad Dr. Nusrat Pravinastu and Mirpurkhas official was also present.
