Swati sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand

ISLAMABAD: A District and Sessions Court of Islamabad ordered to send Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati to jail on 14-day judicial remand in controversial tweet case.

Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir Bhatti accepted request of Federal Investigation Agency in case and directed Azam Swati to appear before court on December 15 next. “We have completed investigation and no further investigation is required,” FIA had told court and requested it to send Azam Swati on judicial remand before culmination of his physical remand. Physical remand of Azam Swati with FIA was to complete on Saturday next. Judicial Magistrate had granted four-day physical remand till December 3.
