SWAT: Armed men attacked school van in scenic valley of Swat killing driver and injuring a student yesterday. As per details, armed men opened fire on school van in Swat’s Char Bagh which killed driver and injured a student, police said.

According to police, suspect was targeting driver of school van who was killed, adding that 10-11 students were present inside van at time of shooting. Police confirmed that only one child, sitting in front seat with driver was injured in attack. Poice added that child was out of danger.

When incident was reported, it was said that two children were injured. However, other child, who was reported as injured, had fallen unconscious after seeing blood on crime scene. Police said that a search operation is being carried out in area.

Driver’s family seek justice following attack, relatives of van driver staged protest, demanding steps to restore peace in region. They urged authorities to bring culprits behind this attack to justice. “We will not tolerate terror incidents in Swat,” they said.
