Suzuki Motor Corporation to set up biogas plant in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Global Vice President Suzuki Motor Corporation Kenichi Ayukawa said that Suzuki Motors Corporation wanted to set up biogas plant in Karachi to boost automobile sector in Pakistan.
He said, “Renewable energy will be produced by using food waste and animal manure.” He expressed these views while led by Japanese delegation in called on meeting with Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain.
Minister assured visiting delegation that government would provide necessary support and facilitation to Suzuki Motor Corporation in business operations and expansion in Pakistan. Minister said, “Auto industry is key sector for Pakistan’s economy, providing significant contributions in terms of employment, economic growth, technology transfer and industrial development.” “Government is supporting localization of automotive industry by providing tax and other incentives to automakers and by investing in research and development.”
