Suspect behind terrorist attack at dental clinic arrested: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon announced that suspect behind terrorist attack at a dental clinic here has been arrested. “Suspect had no personal enmity with victims. He carried out attack to spread terror,” Sindh information minister said while sharing news of arrest in a press conference along with CTD officials.
He shared that terrorist was nabbed on a tip-off police had received. He said that raid was conducted for arrest after suspect was identified with help of CCTV footage and latest technology. Suspect was identified as Waqar Khushk, he has admitted carrying out crime and further investigations were underway. Suspect belonged to banned Sindh Revolutionary Army, he said. Police also recovered a motorcycle from terrorist, said minister.
One was killed on Chinese dentist’s clinic in Karachi last month while two were injured in attack in Saddar.
Unidentified suspect arrived at Dr H U Richard’s clinic as a patient and opened fire as soon as his number for treatment came, police said. Senior Superintendent of Police South Syed Asad Raza said that Dr Richard’s employee Ronald was killed in incident. While Dr Richard and his wife Margaret have sustained injuries, he added.
